Charity's boost after winning Golden Apple award A Cumbrian charity working across a large swathe of the county has received a welcome boost after scooping a prestigious Golden Apple Award. The North Allerdale Development Trust (NADT) won the community involvement award at last October's ceremony. "After two years of hard work and dedication to be recognised with the award gave everyone involved a huge sense of pride for what they had achieved. "The profile of our charity and the work we do in other areas was raised by the award and has led to us gaining volunteers."
